This 1944 thriller follows a New York City police detective as he investigates the murder of a beautiful young woman named Laura. As he interviews her friends and family as well as rummaging through her old letters and secret diary, the detective starts to unravel a mystery that will still have you guessing til the cows come home. By designing a show jam-packed with kooky characters, soap-opera melodrama, film noir mysteries and some good ol' fashioned avant garde surrealism, this priceless TV movie is as addictive and terrifying as it was 20 years ago. With a tour-de-force performance by Sheryl Lee as the legendary Laura Palmer, keep your eyes glued for cameos galore from both the TV show as well as newly introduced characters (David Bowie!).
