Kicking off our nite of unreliable narrators, this lil' ditty combines THE THREE STOOGES with JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS, as director Sam Raimi created one of the funniest horror films of the 1990s with this three-quel/remake/end of a trilogy delight! Come on out for the 20th Anniversary screening of the theatrical version in 35mm (while not the director's cut, has some brilliant alternate footage) as Bruce Campbell battles wise-cracking skeletons, his own worst enemy and a she-bitch from hell! Preceded by a ton of upcoming 2012 M4M events. 81min. Rated R.

Stupefying almost every kind of audience member with this genre-bending, mind-fuck was a goal that writer/director Mary Harron achieved beginning with the very first screening at the Sundance Film Festival! Turning Bret Easton Ellis' horrific novel into this misunderstood feminist classic baffled many and most upon it's release over ten years ago. With a career defining performance by Christian Bale and some of the most thought provoking shock sequences in any film of the decade! Luckily MiDNiTES FOR MANiACS keeps it's bug-eyes wide open for flicks exactly like this and is proud to bring it to the Castro Movie Palace for a neo-sincere look at the psychotic pressures straight white men go though on a daily basis. Be prepared to have actual theories after this Y2K masterpiece. Beautiful Widescreen 35mm print! Preceded by other modern trailers of jaw-dropping nature! 102min. Rated R Theatrical Version.

WELCOME TO MY NiGHTMARE
(1976)
(ORiGiNAL GRiNDHOUSE 35MM PRiNT!)

Written by Alan Rudolph; Directed by David Winters
home
Fusing Frank Zappa-esque freakiness, horror movie elements and hypnotic stage-show theatrics, Alice Cooper paved the road for every single hard rock, metal, doom, sludge, and noise band since... period. In 1975, this truly underrated pioneer made his quintessential concept album utilizing everything from Lou Reed's back up band to Vincent Price's narration (a full decade before Michael Jackson's THRiLLER). This quickie live concert film was made on Cooper's over-the-top UK tour, which showcases Grand Guignol inspired exhibitionism, weeks before his alcoholic nervous breakdown, sending him to the "loony bin". This is an actual Grindhouse 35mm print from 1976 which screened countless times at midnite at the time but has since, ceased to hit San Francisco theatres in over 35 years! DO NOT MiSS THiS EXTREMELY RARE EXPERiENCE! Preceded by some Alice Cooper influenced trailers! 84min. Rated PG.
