Very rarely are PG comedies this maturely hilarious but nothing compares to Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Eileen Brennan and the underrate d genius of Martin Mull in this deliciously diabolica and purposefully camp-fest! It is also important to NOTE: that this revolutionary film incorperated the first (and last) of its kind by creating multiple endings (a sort of "choose your own adventure") that theatres would show on different days, shotimes, etc. All of the endings will be screened but you will need to stick through both films to experience them! Able Ferrara's stunning debut narrative (MS. 45 followed the next year) is the infamous exploitation film that not only was banned in the UK, this "video nasty" was responsible for inspiring the United Kingdom's censorship law "The Video Recordings Act of 1984." Ultra violent grindhouse classic... yes, perversely meditative and transcendental art film... you know how I feel but it's up to you to actually experience the film at The Castro Theatre! This is still considered one of the most controversial and complicated exploitation films ever made (Along with WIlliam Lustig's MANiAC) and includes a quintessential punk soundtrack that is still yet to be released written & performed by Mr. Ferrara as well.
