We begin the evening's "Countdown to Hell" with Wes Craven's brilliant three-quel, which is a hauntingly horrific urban folktale of gritty teen-angst by way of the Freddy Krueger franchise. Sporting jaw-dropping, Oscar worthy SFX by Doug Beswick and a stunning debut performance by Patricia Arquette, don't miss this genre defining three-quel that also champions Dokken's almighty anthem "Dream Warriors"! Preceded by classic Wes Craven trailers. Original 35mm print courtesy of Warner Brothers. 96 minutes. Rated R.

9:45pm - THE TEXAS CHAiNSAW MASSACRE 2 (1986)(25th anniversay 35mm screening!)
Written by L.M. Kit Carson; Directed by Tobe Hooper
w/ Dennis Hopper, Caroline Williams, Bill Moseley and Bill Johnson as "Leatherface"

Tobe Hooper reinvented his 1974 torture classic in true 1986 fashion by delivering a black comedic gore-fest via Canon films. While being dismissed by most every critic and even most horror fans at the time, the disturbing mixture of extreme violence and slapstick comedy has inspired for filmmakers for decades later, ala Rob Zombie's contemporary classics HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES & THE DEViL'S REJECTS. The film even garnered a 20 year ban from Australia! Don't miss this UNRATED 35mm presentation that showcases a performance by Bill Moseley that will leave quoting him years after. Preceded by a gaggle of gory trailers! 89 minutes.

11:45pm - HELLRAiSER (1987)
(25th anniversay 35mm screening!)

Written & Directed by Clive Barker
w/ Andrew Robinson, Claire Higgins, Ashley Laurence & Doug Bradley as "Pinhead"

We round out the ght with this Canadian knockoff of John Carpenter’s Halloween, which packs quite a punch with it's ominous camera angles, brutal deaths and bitchin’ soundtrack. As the teens are hunted down by an axe-wielding maniac for a childhood crime they all committed, Jamie Lee Curtis will be awarded (by me) the Prom Queen crown for being totally sexy and for her show-stopping Disco dancing routine. Here’s your chance to see a true Stalker classic before the official remake disgraces theatres later this year. Plus, there’s gonna be some killer trailers from obscure Stalker films before the film! 90min. 35mm.

One or alll three films for $12.00!
