Restless teenager Billie Jean Davy (Helen Slater) and her brother, Binx (Christian Slater, in his debut), dream of leaving oppressive Corpus Christi, Texas, for Vermont. When Binx’s Honda scooter is trashed by a bully, Billie Jean attempts to confront them, only to find herself fending off a sexual assault.

Cutting her hair and hitting the road, children across Texas band together to help this Joan of Arc allegory pave the path for films like THELMA & LOUISE and QUEEN & SLiM. A truly underrated and unfairly dismissed 1980s cult classic presented in a glorious 35mm print!

Directed by Matthew Robbins. 1985. 96 minutes
