“NOBODY STOPPED HiM: Jim Carrey 1994 Triple Bill in 35mm”
April 20, 2019

Alllllllllrighty then… to have one iconic role in a gigantic comedy is the opportunity that any performer can relish. Two? How unlikely is that? THREE? Somebody stop me.

Well, what if I told you that for Jim Carrey in 1994, nobody could?

On April 20th, MiDNiTES FOR MANiACS presents a reality-defying blast of ACE VENTURA: PET DETECTIVE, THE MASK, and DUMB AND DUMBER back-to-back-to-back! Take in all of the pet shenanigans, elastic physical gags, and talking through your butt with everyone’s favorite rubber-faced funnyman. Hosted by Jesse Hawthorne Ficks, come recontextualize Carey’s surreal humor as genuine avant garde art!

Admission includes a 24-page risograph-printed zine with text by Caroline Golum, Tyler Maxin, and Patrick Dahl and illustrations by Stephanie Monohan, produced by Screen Slate + a homemade screenprint to every attendee courtesy of MiDNiTES FOR MANiACS.
