MiDNiTES FOR MANiACS is proud to present a glorious 35mm print of David Lynch’s underrated and surreal 1984 adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 sci-fi novel.

Implementing his experimental techniques and character actors familiar from his other work including ERASERHEAD, THE ELEPHANT MAN, BLUE VELVET, and TWIN PEAKS, Lynch’s big-budget constellation genuinely glistens with a hypnotic spice.

July 4th is the perfect day to reevaluate this infamous science-fiction debacle — adaptations of which also famously were attempted by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Ridley Scott — especially with Denis Villeneuve (BLADE RUNNER 2049) remaking it, as we speak, for a 2020 release.
