23 years later, this deeply philosophical coming of age story (and Jake Gyllenhaal’s hypnotic performance) has grown into one of the 21st century’s most memorable cinematic achievements. Combining real life lessons, thoughtful science fiction, non-stop film history and a soundtrack to-die-for, this eerie experience was made to be seen in a remote neighborhood movie theater.
